How a session actually feels
Most people arrive a little nervous. That's normal, and it's welcome. I start by talking and walking, and within a few minutes the camera stops being the point. I follow the light, wander a bit, and let the session take its own shape.

Photography for everyone
I photograph couples finding their footing, families in the middle of ordinary chaos, elders whose faces carry whole decades, pets who refuse to sit still, and small business owners who need to be seen as people rather than logos. Different sessions, one intention: photographs that look like the person in them.

On confidence
Almost every client tells me they're not photogenic. What they usually mean is that they've never been photographed patiently. Given a little time, natural light and no pressure to perform, something shifts — and that shift is what I'm waiting for.
